Setting the Holiday Table

Christmas TableMy favorite room has always been the dining room!  Each holiday I set my table to go along with the season.  For Christmas I have mixed patterns of reds and greens.  There is no need to have everything matching, complimenting colors is much more visually appealing.  I keep an array of table linens and runners on hand to change my table up when need be.  This table linens had a lot of red in it so I used a base plate and dinner plate in shades of green so that it “popped” on top of the table.  I accented with a Red Swirl Water Glass and Green Tinted Water Glass, both available at Pier One, to keep the table extra festive.  I love the little details on the table to make it feel more personalized.  The place cards, fun napkin rings and wine glass charms, can each be chosen to represent the guest sitting there to make them feel a little extra special.  My kids and Fiancé love sitting at this table for dinner as my little guy says “It feels like we are having dinner at Santa’s table!”
