It was our second Secret Supper and the anticipation and intrigue from our guests has been so much fun!

Last August, at the Buy Local Cookout held at the Governor’s Mansion, we met Ben Simpkins, the Executive Chef of Richardson Farms. We’d been hoping to start these Secret Suppers in 2012 and really wanted to have one on a farm. It was kismet and the secret began…

In May, Ben came over to Jerry’s home and we tasted over 40 sustainable wines, ate a delicious dinner, and created a menu using local foods from Richardson Farms and around Maryland.

On June 22th, everything came together at Richardson Farms in White Marsh. An impending storm forced the dinner into the Garden Center overlooking the corn field. There was a lot of wind but luckily no rain and our guests stayed cozy throughout the evening – Mother Nature even blessed us with a beautiful Sunset!

The evenings images were captured by the extremely talented photographer, Rachel Smith. We love working with her and she always captures the essence of the event with her creative eye.
