Here are some answers to questions that we get asked on a number of occasions! If you have any other questions (even unrelated to photography) please CLICK HERE and we will be more than happy to answer your question! Thanks! 🙂

What is an associate photographer?

An associate photographer is a skilled professional photographer who works under another professional photographer. Associate photographers are hired to meet the demand of clientele and offer the option of a second shooter when needed. Kelsey photographs all family and newborn sessions and is available to second shoot weddings with Kira (the lead photographer).

What should I wear to my session?

The brighter the better! No matchy matchy! Go for different shades of the same color or complimented colors such as blue and orange, pink and yellow, red and blue, etc. If one person is wearing a pattern try to have the other person in a solid. Accesseries really add to pictures: necklaces, hats, scarves– bring it on! Once you book a session with us we will send you a document that gives you more details and examples.

How do you deliver your images?

In the mail by flash drive.

How long does it take for me to get your pictures?

Portraits sessions: 2 weeks

Wedding: 4 weeks

Where should we do our session?

We have a number of locations that we love to shoot at! We can suggest a location once we know the style you are looking to achieve.

What if the weather is bad?

We will reschedule for another day! 🙂

When is the best time to schedule a session?

2 hours before sunset is the magic hour! The lighting is perfect! We prefer to shoot early in the morning or later in the evening. That will give us the best light.

Is there a deposit fee?

Only for weddings; We require a 20% deposit to reserve your date. The rest of the payment isn’t due until the day of the wedding.

What happens after I book my wedding day?

Once your deposit has been made we will touch base with you about a month out from your wedding. At this time we will talk specific details of your wedding day from the wedding day timeline to family formals. We love to meet in person to discuss these details if your schedule allows! We will do whatever necessary to ensure you feel comfortable going into your wedding day.

Can my photos be shared online?

Yes! We give you complete control of your images. You can upload them and share them however you wish! We do ask that you credit Kira Nicole Photography when sharing pictures on social media 🙂
