The mission of Meals On Wheels is to enable people to live independently at home through the provision of nutritious meals, personal contact and related services. At its inception, Meals on Wheels served 10 homebound clients with a handful of volunteers. In 2012, 700,307 home-delivered meals were prepared and delivered to 2,939 clients through the coordinated efforts of Meals on Wheels staff and more than 2,000 volunteers.293139_10151202780715888_107453416_n

Our team here at Chef’s Expressions has been donating our time and efforts to the Meals on Wheels program for over 20 years. Chef’s Expressions is committed to continually support Meals on Wheels and their mission. Our team has been privileged to watch the growth of this amazing organization over the course of the years.

Please join us at Jerry’s home to support Meals on Wheels and drink the wonderful wines of Stolpman Vineyards. Jerry Edwards CPCE and Peter Stolpman will be your hosts for our ‘Down on the Farm’ Winemaker’s Supper.

stolpman-vineyard-logoPete was just a young boy back in the late 80’s when his parents decided to purchase the 220 acre ranch just north of Santa Barbara now known as Stolpman Vineyards.  Pete and the developing vines have practically grown up together these past 20+ years, and it is no stretch of the imagination that Pete’s life pursuits would eventually lead him back to his namesake roots as Managing Partner of Stolpman Vineyards. Through extensive experimentation with many varietals, the team has perfected its offerings of Syrah, Roussanne, Sangiovese and Sauvignon Blanc.  Limited plantings of Grenache, Viognier, Petite Sirah, and Chardonnay serve as blending grapes. Today, Peter Stolpman manages the tightly knit family operation dedicated to making world-class wines.  The team never rests in pushing the envelope of quality through organic dry farming and the meticulous work of Stolpman’s vineyard crew, “La Cuadrilla”.
