HOLIDAY INSPIRATION: CREATIVE TREE DECOR

Over the years, I’ve made a holiday tradition out of hand selecting a beautiful living tree. I always look forward driving up to my favorite Tree Farm in Hanover, Pennsylvania and carefully selecting the perfect tree. I love this farm because, not only do they carry quality fresh cut trees, but they also individually wrap, and drill a hole in the bottom of each one, which makes for an easy “do it yourself” set-up process! In the past years, I have always decorated my tree to flow with the Victorian style décor in my family room. This year I remodeled the room and decided to go with a more contemporary feel instead. I chose a Concord Tree, which has beautiful Blue toned pine and an amazing Orange Citrus aroma. This tree is great because it has a very soft texture and barely sheds any pine. The Country French inspired tree décor featured pink multi-toned ribbons with burlap to give it a more natural feel. Next year I decided I will be getting two Christmas trees, one to flow with the Victorian Style décor in my formal living room, and the other to accent the Contemporary feel of my family room. I’m looking forward to the idea of theming two trees and offering a different spin on Christmas in each room!
