On Friday, May 13th 2016, our team gathered at the home of our President and Corporate Chef, Jerry Edwards in Monkton Maryland for our company planting party and BBQ. Though the rainy weather dominated most of the day, it managed to clear up just in time to kick off the beautiful evening.
We had a blast diving into mother nature to plant a variety of herbs and vegetables. Plants among the crop included multiple types of Tomato, Sage, Peppers, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Cilantro, Basil, Mint, Thyme, and Strawberries (just to name a few).
Many of these items will be used at future events. After all, we are a Certified Green Caterer and strive to use natural, local ingredients whenever possible.
After the gardening was complete, it was time to wind down with a delicious feast. The menu consisted of all our favorite cook-out classics (of course)! I took personal preference the Spring Tomato and Corn Salad. Other items included classic Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Fried Potato Salad – yum!
As if the evening couldn’t get any better, the sun began to set and the gorgeous view definitely stole the show. Thanks to all of our Chef’s Expressions family who came out to enjoy the special evening. As always, it’s fantastic to step away from the world of events to spend quality time together!
